Dental & Eye Check-up

“Good health and good habits are very important factors for children to get benefits from quality education and grow up as empowered individuals,” says Principal Ms. Iris Theodore.

HIS, karapakkam organized a free Dental & Eye Check-up in collaboration with Mithran Multi specialty Clinic for Primary and secondary school children. The objective of this event was to spread awareness on eye disorders, their early detection, to detect refractive errors , eye aliments and eating patterns and food choices which can lead to tooth decay among school children.

The children were tested and oriented by the doctors on ‘How to protect teeth and eyes’ .

They also emphasized and guided the students not to play too much of video and computer games and suggested them to watch the television at least from a distance of 10-12 inches.

330 children were screened on the day and follow up treatment is taking place as per the requirement. A talk on healthy habits on oral and eye hygiene is in the pipe line for the students .
